Large format inkjet printer dampers for Mutoh printer and Roland printer
The lf printer spare part called "damper" is for use in large format inkjet printers. These parts are mounted in front of the printhead and they are part of the ink assembly units. The function is filtering for particles inside the ink to protect the printhead. By moving the printhead during the print process different status of pressure inside the inksystem would disturb the printquality. The dampers compensate this effect. A small reservoir for ink inside the dampers ensure continous inkflow to the printhead. Normally the damper is filled half to three-quarters with ink. If that is not the case something is wrong with the ink assembly unit. Damper have to be exchanged regular. Manufacturers suggests to change damper within a certain number of month.
